RCMP in La Ronge have laid an attempted murder charge against a 21-year-old man and placed him in custody, while arrest warrants are out for two others.
The Mounties say Raymond Roberts has been charged in connection with an incident that took place on the Fairchild reserve south of La Ronge on Saturday.
A male was seriously assaulted and sent to hospital with severe wounds.
Roberts also faces a charge of aggravated assault.
He made his first court appearance today in La Ronge, and is due back on Thursday.
Police are still looking for 25-year-old Jamie Cyril Tremblay and 21-year-old Grant Kenneth McKenzie.
Both have been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in tracking down the suspects, who are from the La Ronge area.
However, RCMP say both men are considered dangerous, and should not be approached if spotted.
