eHealth Saskatchewan is warning residents about a scam regarding their health cards. Text messages and phone calls claiming to be from eHealth Saskatchewan indicate Saskatchewan health cards are expired, outdated or require immediate replacement.
The warning comes as Saskatchewan is entering a health card renewal season, with renewal stickers starting to appear in the mail mid-September through the end of October. Most Saskatchewan health cards expire at the end of December 2026. Health cards that do not expire December 2026 have an expiry date printed directly on the card.
eHealth will never contact residents by text message or call about health card renewal.
There is no charge for a Saskatchewan health card. Any request for payment will indicate it is a scam. Do not click on any links or give out credit card information.
If you’ve moved in the last three years or your family information has changed, update the information directly with eHealth so your renewal package can be mailed to the correct address.
eHealth Saskatchewan encourages residents to remain vigilant and avoid clicking links or sharing personal information if they receive a suspicious message or phone call.
