Prince Albert RCMP are investigating a suspected hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 34-year-old Prince Albert man.

Police say officers were called to Highway 11 near MacDowall at about 1:40 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of an injured person.

EMS declared the man dead at the scene. His family has been notified.

RCMP say the initial investigation indicates the victim was involved in a pedestrian-vehicle collision and that the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene.

A Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.
