Several Indigenous businesses and organizations are being recognized among the finalists for the 2026 Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce Achievement of Business Excellence Awards.
Four businesses have been selected as finalists for the Indigenous Business Leadership Award: Miyosiwin Salon Spa of Regina, Optek Solutions of Corman Park, STC Industrial Group of Saskatoon and Tangles Hair and Beauty Salon of Regina.
STC Industrial Group also earned nominations in two other categories, making it a finalist for the Growth and Expansion Award for medium and large businesses as well as the Workplace Excellence Award.
Dakota Dunes Resort at Whitecap Dakota Nation is also up for two awards. The Indigenous-owned resort is a finalist in the Growth and Expansion category and is also being recognized in the Innovation category.
First Nation Insurance of Saskatoon is among five finalists for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award.
The Saskatchewan Chamber says it received 118 applications from businesses and entrepreneurs representing 22 communities, with 42 organizations ultimately selected as finalists across 11 application-based categories.
“These finalists exemplify what it means to be a luminary in Saskatchewan business,” Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce CEO Prabha Ramaswamy said. “They’re innovating, building, and creating impact in their communities.”
The Chamber says winners will be announced during the 2026 ABEX Awards Gala on September 26 at TCU Place in Saskatoon.
