A 36-year-old La Ronge man is facing several charges following a shooting in the community over the weekend.
La Ronge RCMP say officers were called to Cook Crescent around 11 a.m. on July 18 following a report of a firearm being discharged.
Investigators determined a vehicle had approached a residential property before several occupants got out and an altercation occurred between them and an individual at the property.
Police say a firearm was discharged during the altercation, injuring a woman who remained inside the vehicle. She was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
RCMP arrested an adult male at the residence and say officers also located and seized a firearm near the property.
Jonah Ratt, 36, of La Ronge is charged with one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of discharging a firearm with intent and three counts of assault with a weapon.
Ratt appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court on July 20 and is scheduled to make his next court appearance on August 17.
