Saskatchewan RCMP are once again asking the public for information as the investigation into the disappearance of Ashley Morin reaches its eighth anniversary.

Morin was 31 years old when she disappeared from North Battleford on July 10, 2018. Investigators continue to treat her disappearance as a homicide.

The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Historical Case Unit says the investigation remains active and that officers continue working toward finding answers for Morin’s family, friends and community.

While investigators say progress has been made over the years with the help of community members, they believe there are still people who have not shared critical information.

Police say they have reason to believe multiple individuals were involved in Morin’s disappearance and are urging anyone with information—no matter how minor it may seem—to contact investigators.

“Eight years is a long time to carry the weight of what happened to Ashley. We believe there are people who know the truth, and we are asking them to come forward now,” said Inspector Ashley St. Germaine, Acting Officer in Charge of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes Branch.

St. Germaine added that loyalties, relationships and circumstances may have changed since 2018, but Morin’s loved ones continue to wait for answers.

“If you know what happened, or if someone has confided information to you over the years, now is the time to speak with investigators. One conversation could be the breakthrough that brings Ashley home and helps deliver the justice and closure her family deserves.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saskatchewan RCMP Historical Case Unit at 310-RCMP, or their local police service.
