Battlefords RCMP seized multiple weapons and charged four individuals following a traffic stop in North Battleford, SK.
On July 7, 2026 at approximately 8:00 a.m., Battlefords RCMP were making proactive patrols and conducted a traffic stop on 100 Street in North Battleford.
Investigation determined multiple occupants in the vehicle were breaching court ordered conditions. Three males and a female were arrested at the scene. The female resisted arrest; however, officers were able to bring her into custody safely.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located and seized a sawed-off firearm, bear spray, a knife, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
As a result of continued investigation, 30-year-old Jayaleo Pete, 40-year-old Christopher Fiddler, 25-year-old Kiandra Jackson, and 25-year-old Dale Starchief, all from North Battleford, are each charged with:
- one count, possession of a firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle, Section 94(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, unsafe storage of firearms, Section 86(2), Criminal Code;
- two counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(1), Criminal Code; and
- two counts, carrying a concealed weapon, Section 90(1), Criminal Code.
Christopher Fiddler was additionally charged with:
- one count, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(1), Criminal Code;
- two counts, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code; and
- two counts, weapons possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code.
He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Edmonton Police Service.
Kiandra Jackson was additionally charged with:
- one count, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, resist/obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code; and
- one count, weapons possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code.
All four accused appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on July 8, 2026 (Information #90596010, #90596009, #90596012, #9059611).
