La Ronge RCMP are searching for a suspect following a shooting that left one man injured.

Police say the incident was reported around 2:45 p.m. on June 11 on Bird Place, where an altercation between two adult men escalated.

During the incident, one of the men discharged a firearm, injuring the other.

The injured man was taken to hospital by EMS with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP say the suspect left the scene in a vehicle taken from the location. The vehicle has since been recovered, but the suspect remains at large.

Police have identified the suspect as 25-year-old Sampson Roberts of the La Ronge area, who is now wanted on multiple charges, including discharge of a firearm with intent and robbery with a firearm.

A warrant has been issued for Roberts’ arrest, and RCMP are asking the public for help locating him.

If you see Sampson Roberts, do not approach him.
