The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit is renewing its appeal to the public for information related to the 2022 homicide of Lawrence Lavallee.

Police say officers responded to the 800 block of 11th Avenue East shortly after 5:30 a.m. on May 28, 2022, after receiving reports that a man had been shot.

When officers arrived, they located Lawrence Lavallee in the 1000 block of 7th Street East suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to Victoria Hospital by Parkland Ambulance, where he later died.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen or heard suspicious activity in the area of the 1000 block of 7th Street East between 5:15 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. on May 28, 2022, to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

“Today we are asking for the public’s help. Somebody knows what happened to Lawrence. Somebody knows the truth, who took his life,” said Lawrence’s mother, Shannon Lavallee.

“We are pleading with anybody who has information to please come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could bring answers to our family and find justice for Lawrence. We will continue to speak his name, honour his memory and fight for the truth until justice is served for my son.”

Sgt. Tyler Chester of the Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit says investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward, even if they have previously spoken with police.

“We need people to come forward with any information, no matter how small,” Chester said. “Let’s get Lawrence’s family the answers they deserve.”
