Cameco says full production has resumed at its McArthur River mine and Key Lake mill following disruptions caused by flooding in northern Saskatchewan.
The company had temporarily reduced operations earlier this month after flood waters caused a partial collapse of the Smoothstone River Bridge, a key supply route to the sites.
Weight and traffic restrictions on alternate roads also interrupted deliveries of critical operating materials.
Cameco says it has now been able to consistently transport enough materials using secondary routes to return both operations to full production.
The company adds it remains in regular contact with Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Highways as repairs continue on the primary route.
The Saskatoon-based uranium producer says there is still some risk of additional delays due to spring thaw conditions and possible precipitation, which could lead to further road restrictions in the north.
Despite the disruption, Cameco says its 2026 production outlook remains unchanged at between 19.5 and 21.5 million pounds of uranium.
The company also says operations at the Cigar Lake mine were not affected by the flooding.
