On May 13, 2026, Big River Conservation officers found 26 northern pike abandoned along a creek leading into Hackett Lake off Revo Lake Road.
Officials say the fish were likely illegally snared while spawning and discarded along the shoreline without being harvested for meat.
There was no active fishing season in place at the time, and officers estimate the incident took place between May 8 and May 12.
A cash reward of up to $2000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of the individual(s) involved.
Anyone with information about this violation should contact the provincial toll-free Turn-In-Poachers and Polluters TIPP line at 1-800-667-7561. Calls are not traced or recorded and callers may choose to remain anonymous.
