Sturgeon Lake First Nation members are invited to take part in upcoming community consultation meetings on a proposed Membership Code.

The sessions are being hosted by the SLFN Membership Committee as part of the Nation’s work toward becoming a Section 10 Band, which would give control over its own membership.

The draft Membership Code will be presented for review, discussion, and feedback before it is formally ratified by members.

Meetings will be held May 26 in Sturgeon Lake and Prince Albert, May 27 in Saskatoon, and May 28 in Edmonton.

Organizers say the sessions will give members a chance to learn more, ask questions, and contribute to an important decision about the Nation’s future.

Lunch, refreshments, and door prizes will be provided at all locations.
