On April 25, 2026, La Ronge RCMP received a report of a break-in at a cabin north of Sucker River.
Investigation determined a suspect or suspects broke into the cabin. Three snowmobiles, several firearms, tools, animal pelts, generators and other items were reported as stolen. It’s believed the break-in may have occurred around 9:30 p.m. on April 25.
The snowmobiles and some of the firearms have been recovered by La Ronge RCMP. The investigation continues.
On April 28, La Ronge RCMP received reports that several cabins were broken into in the Ewen Bay, Freeman Island and Flatland Island areas. These break-ins are being investigated, including any potential connection with the incident reported on April 25.
Anyone with information about any of these break-ins, or who sees suspicious activity, is encouraged to call La Ronge RCMP by dialling 310-RCMP.
