The Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) has released the official list of candidates for its 2026 band election, along with voting dates and procedures for members.

Online voting opened on Wednesday, March 18, and will remain available until 11:59 p.m. on March 29. The electronic option is open to all band members aged 18 and older.

An advance poll is scheduled for Monday, March 23, from noon to 7 p.m., while general election day will take place Monday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Four candidates are running for chief: Tammy Cook-Searson, Jude Ratt, Bruce F. McKenzie and Larry Roberts.

A number of candidates are also running for councillor positions across six electoral sections:

In Electoral Section One (Little Red River Reserves #106C and #106D), candidates are John McKay, Tracey Hallett and Keith Mirasty.

In Electoral Section Two (Grandmother’s Bay Reserve #219), candidates are Nora Charles and Gerald R. McKenzie.

In Electoral Section Three (Morin Lake Reserve #217), candidates are David J. Charles, Norman F. Ross and Joseph Ratt.

In Electoral Section Four (Sucker River Reserve #156C), Korie K. Ratt is the sole candidate.

In Electoral Section Five (Stanley Mission Reserve #157), candidates are Jimmy B. Charles, Linda A. Charles, Robert M. McKenzie, Cora Ballantyne Roberts, Morris McKenzie and Roland McLeod.

In Electoral Section Six (Lac La Ronge Reserve #156 and Kitsaskan #156B), candidates are James Einar, Sam Bird, Charlene Cook, Alvin S. McKenzie, Dennis B. Sanderson, Alex T. Hallett, Arlen Ratt, Dean C. Roberts, Francis Morin and Cheryl (Charlene) Verne.

The candidate list was confirmed by chief electoral officer Milton Burns.
