Word has spread that the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations(FSIN) 1st Vice Chief David Pratt will be resigning from his position.

According to APTN, a number of Chiefs in Saskatchewan received an email on March 5, 2026, from FSIN 1st Vice Chief David Pratt stating his resignation.

According to the email he submitted his resignation January 31st and that his last day will be March 2nd.
He says he’s stepping down to run for Chief of his community of Muscowpetung Saulteaux First Nation.
He will be running against against four candidates with the election on April 3rd.
