Local organizations are being invited by the City of Saskatoon to participate in a series of future seminars aimed at educating groups about available municipal grants while improving their grant writing abilities.

Each of the three sessions will start with a summary of current and future City grant opportunities, followed by a practical grant writing workshop.

Participants can remain for the entire workshop or only the grant overview.

The first workshop will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 12:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cosmo Civic Centre Theatre, located at 3130 Laurier Drive.

The second session will be held online on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

A final in-person session is scheduled for Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 12:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lakewood Civic Centre’s Multi-Purpose Room on 1635 McKercher Drive.

A recording of the workshop will be available online after December 11.

Attendees are encouraged to register at least three days in advance.

The City administers several grant programs that support local non-profit, volunteer-driven and community-focused initiatives.

These include the Sports Projects Grant, which helps build capacity within Saskatoon’s sports sector by funding projects led by local sports organizations.

The Sask Lotteries Community Grant supports non-profit groups that aim to increase participation in sport, culture and recreation.

The Cash Grant – Social (Assistance to Community Groups Grant) helps human service organizations deliver direct services to vulnerable populations and address demonstrated community needs.

The Cash Grant – Environmental provides matching funds of up to $10,000 for nonprofit environmental projects that contribute to a more sustainable community.
