The family of a man killed in Saskatoon over two years ago is speaking out against the lack of movement in the investigation.
Aaron Gamble’s body was killed in the city in March 2023.
His body was found in a dumpster in the city’s Meadowgreen neighbourhood.
While Gamble’s death was ruled a homicide by the Saskatoon Police Service, no arrests have been made.
Aaron Gamble’s Sister, Emilia Greyeyes held a press conference on the matter at the FSIN headquarters in Saskatoon on Monday morning.
“He was all I had left of my immediate family and he was taken so violently and treated as garbage,” she said.
Greyeyes says the last two years have been painful and all she is looking for is answers.
She called on the Saskatoon Police Service to investigate the matter more thoroughly.
“I would like to make it clear that I am here and I will fight for him to make sure all people involved are charged in his murder.”
Greyeyes specifically wants the police service to conduct forensic investigations of locations important to the investigation. However, Greyeyes couldn’t specifically name those locations over concerns of compramising the investigation.
“I am angry and frustrated. I do not want his case to go cold when the persons who did this are living freely and amongst us.”
She also pleaded for anyone with information to come forward.
“Someone out there has the information we need,” she pleaded. “You all will not rest and live life properly until you come forward and let that secret out.”
