On August 21, 2025 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Loon Lake RCMP received a report of a robbery on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.

Officers immediately responded. Investigation determined two male suspects broke into a residence on the old townsite while a third male suspect remained outside. One of the suspects who entered the residence had a firearm. The suspects demanded keys to the occupants’ ATV and fled the residence on the stolen vehicle. The occupants did not report any physical injuries to police.

The stolen ATV is described as a black 2024 CFMOTO CForce 400 ATV with storage boxes on both the front and back of the vehicle.

As a result of investigation, 25-year-old Justin Kytwayhat, 34-year-old Owen Kytwayhat and 32-year-old Delaney Mitsuing, all from Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, are each charged with:

  • one count, break and enter with intent, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code;

  • one count, using an imitation firearm in an offence, Section 85(2)(a), Criminal Code;

  • one count, robbery with a weapon, Section 344(1)(b), Criminal Code; and

  • two counts, assault with a weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code.

Delaney Mitsuing was located and arrested by Loon Lake RCMP on August 25. He is scheduled to appear in Loon Lake Provincial Court on August 28, 2025 (Information #90563884).

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Justin Kytwayhat and Owen Kytwayhat. Loon Lake RCMP continue work to locate the two males and ask members of the public to report sightings and information on their whereabouts.

  • Height: 5’11”
  • Weight: 180 lbs
  • Eye colour: brown
  • Hair colour and style: black
  • Other descriptors: scar on right ankle

Owen Kytwayhat is described as:

  • Height: 5’9”
  • Weight: 160 lbs
  • Eye colour: brown
  • Hair colour: black
  • Other descriptors: multiple tattoos, including numbers on his cheeks, a star above his left eyebrow, and words on his neck.
