A Saskatoon man has been charged with child exploitation offences.

An online investigation relating to child exploitation was conducted in January of 2025.

On June 26, 2025, the Saskatchewan ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Saskatoon and seized and examined electronic devices.

25-year-old Thundar Johnson, of Saskatoon, was charged with the following:

  • Luring a child, to wit: by telecommunication, contrary to Section 172.1(c) of the Criminal Code
  • Make sexually explicit material to person(s) who is believed to be under the age of 14 contrary to section 171.1(1)(c) of the Criminal Code
  • Possession of Child Pornography contrary to Section 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code
  • Make Available Child Pornography, contrary to Section 163.1(3) of the Criminal Code

Johnson made an appearance in court on June 27, 2025.

He was released on numerous conditions.

His next court appearance is set for July 21, 2025 in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
