The Resort Village of Candle Lake has rescinded the voluntary evacuation advisory, effective June 13, 2025, at 9:27 a.m. as well as they have lifted the local state of emergency.
Recent fire assessments along with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency’s fire data and weather forecasts have indicated a lower fire threat for the community.
According to the Resort Village Council, the Shoe Fire is no longer an immediate threat to the community.
Wild fire activity is expected to continue for several weeks.
The Resort Village of Candle Lake is reminding their full-time/seasonal residents and visitors to stay alert and have a plan for accommodation and a plan in place incase things change.

The Fire ban remains in effect until further notice. They would like to remind the public that outdoor fires and fireworks are prohibited at this time. Only approved propane device and pellet smokers may be used for cooking.
