Fire has breached the town of La Ronge.
Reports are coming in of property being damaged in Denare Beach, Hall Lake, Sucker River, Eagle Point, Wadne Bay, and in La Ronge.
It’s been reported that the Robertson’s Trading Post and Rona building have been lost in the fire.
Fire crews from other provinces and towns have joined the tri-communities fight this fire.
The weather conditions significantly elevate the risk of fire spreading and make suppression efforts more difficult.
On Tuesday, there was wind gusts of up to 70 km/h.
The JRMCC in La Ronge has been set up for evacuees to register and get on buses for the trip south.
It is not known when evacuees will be able to return to their homes.
