On May 10, 2025 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of someone committing mischief to a vehicle outside a business on Sturgeon Lake First Nation.
Investigation determined a male approached a vehicle parked outside a business on Sturgeon Lake First Nation, struck the vehicle with an object, then engaged in a verbal altercation with the owner. He then fled in a white car which had other occupants inside.
Prince Albert RCMP responded and located the car on Sturgeon Lake First Nation. Officers engaged their emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop. The car fled from police. Officers continued to make patrols in the area.
Shortly after, the car was located at the intersection of Bison Trail and Sturgeon Lake Road. The suspect car drove towards police, striking the side of the police vehicle, before fleeing at a high rate of speed. The officer driving the police vehicle was not physically injured but the police vehicle was damaged.
The car is described as a 2011 four-door Chevrolet Malibu that is hand-painted white, with Saskatchewan license plate 635 NUF.
Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate.
