LLRIB Band Council To Decide Outcome Of Appeals

The fate of two band councillors with the Lac La Ronge Indian Band will be discussed later this month.

Larry Roberts and John Halkett were recently ruled to have incorrectly filled out their nomination forms prior to the band’s recent election.

According to band chief electoral officer Charles Whitecap, Chief Tammy Cook-Searson and her council must decide what to do next.

The meeting will take place in La Ronge on June 24th.
