P.A. Police Release Name Of Shooting Victim

The name of the woman who was shot dead by police last week in Prince Albert has been released.

44-year-old Jackie Montgrand was struck by a bullet last Tuesday afternoon.

She was rushed to hospital, but did not survive.

Police say she confronted officers with a knife at a residence in the city’s West Flat before the gunshot went off.

A police officer from Saskatoon has been called in to oversee the investigation.
