Mistik Management Receives Rare Certification

Meadow Lake-based Mistik Management has been certified to the Forest Stewardship Council’s National Boreal Standard.
The council is an organization that looks to find solutions which promote responsible use of the world’s forests.
Mistik has harvesting rights in northwest Saskatchewan, and is the first organization in the province to achieve the certification.
Allyson Brady with the Saskatchewan Environmental Society says this was no easy achievement. She says the company had to meet about 200 criteria.
Mistik is also the largest First Nations-owned company in the country to receive the honour.
