Roth Forgery Case Adjourned Until May

It will be many months before the case against former Metis Nation – Saskatchewan president Dwayne Roth will be resolved.

Roth is charged with forgery and conspiracy to commit forgery dating back to the controversial 2004 MNS election.

Today, Roth’s lawyer appeared in court and entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Roth has opted to be tried by judge and jury.

However, that won’t happen until after his preliminary hearing — which will determine if there is enough evidence to go ahead with a trial.

That hearing is scheduled to last two weeks next May.
