La Ronge hockey player Liam Hallett has signed with the SIJHL’s Dryden Ice Dogs.

Hallett is a 2001-born forward and tallied 27 points in 31 games this past season with the Carrot River Outback Thunder in the PJHL.

“I wasn’t even planning on playing junior A anywhere and they (Dryden) reached out to me,” said Hallett. “We started talking and one thing led to another, they heard some things about me and then I was signed.”

Hallett says he gives a lot of credit to trainer Travis Hegland for his help over the years.

“Lots of people have helped me get to where I am, but Travis was really there right from the beginning – training me and just being a shoulder to lean on the whole way through,” said Hallett.

Hallett played his last year of U18 hockey with the North East Wolfpack and recorded 27 points in 32 games during the 2018-19 campaign.
