Correctional Service of Canada officials say a 36-year-old man escaped from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary sometime Sunday.
Officials say they noticed James Fred Katsiris was not there during a headcount around 8:30 p.m.
He is a prisoner in the minimum-security unit.
Katsiris is described as 5’ 10” tall, 168 lbs, with a medium complexion, blue eyes and brown hair.
He is serving a two-year sentence for possession of property obtained by crime and possession and trafficking of a scheduled substance.
