Boil Water Order Issued In Stony Rapids

An official with Saskatchewan Environment says it could be some time before a precautionary boil water order is lifted in the northern community of Stony Rapids.
Environmental protection officer Warren Kelly says he issued the order yesterday afternoon, after the husband-and-wife team that managed the water treatment facility quit.
He says it’s now up to the hamlet council to find replacements.
Kelly adds a full-time operator must now be found.
He’s not sure how long that will take.
