Young Burning Suspect Back In Court

A 12-year-old girl accused of setting a woman on fire in La Ronge earlier this spring was scheduled to enter a plea in court today.

However, the matter was adjourned to July 17th to allow her lawyer more time to review evidence.

The accused has been living with family members under strict court-imposed conditions.

She was granted bail last month after a judge ruled she didn’t pose a danger to the public.

The youth is facing a charge of aggravated assault.

The 26-year-old victim was found with severe burns behind a business in downtown La Ronge.
