The CEO and President of Tourism Saskatchewan says the provincial and national tourism weeks are off to a good start.

Roy Anderson says this week is organized to raise awareness around the tourism industry in Saskatchewan and nationally.

Anderson says one key area of interest for many tourists in the province is the North.

Anderson there are many opportunities to benefit from tourism in the North including jobs and economic growth.

He says, like last year, Tourism Saskatchewan is offering a number of contests on their website to win travel-inspired prizes.
