La Ronge Credit Union Robbed

La Ronge RCMP are combing the area for a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery at the Conexus Credit Union this morning.
RCMP Sgt. Brian Jones says shortly after opening this morning, a male suspect robbed the La Ronge Credit Union and then fled on foot.
Jones says the investigation is continuing and details about the description of the suspect are scarce at this time.
Because the investigation is still in the early stages, RCMP officials could not confirm if anything was stolen or if a weapon was used in the robbery.
No one was injured in the incident.
Vice President of Regional Services for the Conexus Credit Union, Kevin Paproski says measures are put in place for the staff’s protection and well-being.
Paproski says the bank is closed but he could not confirm an exact date or time as to when the Credit Union would be open to the public.
