A number of workers responsible for keeping band services and buildings operating in the North are meeting in Prince Albert this week.

The maintenance personnel in attendance hail mainly from communities within the Prince Albert Grand Council, but there are about six other locations represented as well.

Larry Custer is a maintenance supervisor from Pelican Narrows. He says he enjoys coming to the event every year and finding out which equipment has changed and what procedures have been altered. Most of all, though, he says it’s refreshing to talk to fellow workers about the challenges they face and how they solve them.

The conference wraps up tomorrow.

It’s the fourth year the event has been held.
