Northern Saskatchewan’s Member of Parliament says now that plans have been announced for the long-awaited road link between La Loche and Fort McMurray, it’s time to turn attention to the major highway in northwest Saskatchewan.

Jeremy Harrison says he’s very happy the long-awaited road link will soon become reality, but notes its impact won’t be fully realized until Highway 155 is upgraded.

Harrison notes anyone that has taken that route recently knows that highway is in rough shape.

Northern leaders have complained for years that Highway 155 has been neglected.
