A band member from the Flying Dust First Nation is applauding the FSIN’s decision to issue a safety warning to aboriginal women.

Marlene Frigon says not enough is being done to find those women who are missing and protect the ones that are vulnerable.

She also says too many men still feel First Nation’s and Metis women don’t matter to society.

Last week, FSIN Vice-Chief Delbert Wapass warned Aboriginal women to be on the lookout for men, they feel, may cause them harm.

Frigon says a data-base registry should be set up for Aboriginal women who are on the streets, because they are the ones most at risk.
