House Fire Claims Life On Whitefish Reserve

Big River RCMP were called to a fatal house fire on the Whitefish reserve early Saturday.

When Mounties arrived on the scene, they found the home fully engulfed in flames.

One person is believed to have died in the fire.

The identity of the deceased is unknown and an autopsy has been ordered.

Two children and a male adult escaped from the fire and were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
