A trial has been set for attempted murder in relation to a La Ronge stabbing that happened in March.
Elias Ballantyne will face trial by judge in February for charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
On March 17, Mounties responded to a complaint and found a man in his early 50s suffering serious stab wounds.
Ballantyne was arrested “without incident” at a different home in the community soon afterwards, according to the RCMP.
The Prince Albert Court of Queen’s Bench trial is set to last two weeks starting at the end of February.
