RCMP have arrested and charged a 31 year-old man with second degree murder in relation to a death in La Ronge a year and a half ago.
In April of 2015 50 year-old Pierre Kkailther of Wollaston Lake was found dead in La Ronge under suspicious circumstances.
On Tuesday, after what appears to be a lengthy investigation, RCMP arrested and charged 31 year-old Aaron Kkailther of Wollaston Lake with second degree murder.
RCMP say both individuals are know to each other.
“No matter how many weeks, months or years pass, an unsolved case, or a case where charges are not yet laid, is never closed,” said S/Sgt. Dale Rockel of RCMP Major Crime Unit North in a media release. “The charges laid in this instance is just one outcome of the challenging work our members do every day.”
Kkailther will make his first court appearance in La Ronge on Thursday.
