The new chief and council of the Shoal Lake Cree Nation have officially taken office.
The swearing in ceremony was held Tuesday after a band election last week.
Former councillor Carlton Bear is the new chief, replacing Marcel Head who held the position for a number of years.
Kevin Bear is also the new vice-chief.
The other new councillors are Edgar Cook, Eldon Whitecap and Theda Lathlin.
Each will serve three-year terms.
