An 18-year-old Yorkton resident is facing multiple terrorism-related charges following an investigation by the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team, or INSET.
RCMP say the investigation began after reports of concerning online activity linked to the extremist online network known as 764, which was designated a terrorist entity in Canada in December 2025.
Police allege the accused posted videos online and was active in 764-related chat groups on Telegram and Discord.
The group is accused of coercing young people into acts involving child exploitation, self-harm and animal cruelty.
The individual was arrested September 24th and remains in custody.
The accused was scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court today.
As the offences were committed while the individual was a youth, the Youth Criminal Justice Act prevents any further release of information regarding this individual.
As the criminal investigation is ongoing and before the courts, the RCMP will not be making further comments at this time.
Law enforcement agencies work diligently to make our communities safer places to live but your assistance in remaining vigilant and informing us of any suspicious activities will help us be even more effective.
