Three people are facing charges following an investigation into a stolen ATV and an incident in which firearms were allegedly pointed at individuals on Onion Lake First Nation.

Onion Lake RCMP say officers were called around 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 after receiving a report of a stolen ATV. Police said the suspects allegedly pointed firearms when they were confronted.

Officers later located the stolen ATV abandoned and soon found individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions travelling in a grey car. When RCMP attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled. Police deployed a tire deflation device, but the suspects continued before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot.

RCMP Police Dog Services tracked the suspects to a residence, where one man was found hiding in bushes and arrested. Police said he suffered injuries related to the arrest and was treated before being released on an undertaking.

A further search led officers to three more individuals inside a residence on Onion Lake First Nation. All three were arrested, although one person was later released without charges.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, investigators seized cocaine, ammunition and evidence of drug trafficking, according to RCMP.

33-year-old Tamara Dillon of Onion Lake was arrested on outstanding warrants and remanded into custody.

19-year-old Landon Montana of Onion Lake is charged with obstruction of a peace officer, flight from a peace officer and failing to comply with probation. He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Onion Lake Provincial Court on Dec. 2.

28-year-old Blaire Chief of Onion Lake was arrested on a Canada-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large. He also faces numerous additional charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of pointing a firearm, several firearms-related offences, flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and obstruction of a peace officer. Chief was remanded and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 29.

Police have also charged 23-year-old Lennox Littlewolfe in connection with the investigation.

RCMP say there is an outstanding warrant for his arrest from a separate incident.

He faces charges including possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of pointing a firearm, firearms offences, flight from a peace officer, dangerous driving and obstruction of a peace officer.

RCMP say Littlewolfe is known to frequent Lloydminster.
