A staffing shortage will temporarily close the Melfort Hospital laboratory to all outpatient services on seven days over the next two weeks.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority said outpatient lab services will be unavailable Sept. 28, 29 and 30, as well as Oct. 1, 2, 8 and 9.

Patients who are able to travel are being directed to laboratories in Tisdale, Prince Albert or Nipawin for outpatient services during the closures.

The health authority thanked patients for their patience and understanding.
