One Arrow First Nation is urging community members to remain vigilant and prioritize the safety of families, children, youth and Elders as RCMP search for two individuals believed to be in possession of firearms.

In a public notice posted on Facebook, the First Nation identified the individuals as Shakobey Sanderson and BJ Matchap.

Residents are being advised not to approach or confront the suspects.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP immediately by calling 310-RCMP (7267), or 911 in the event of an emergency or immediate danger.

Community members are also being encouraged to stay indoors where possible, keep doors secured, and ensure children and youth remain inside.

The notice advises residents not to drive around the community looking for the individuals or put themselves at risk by attempting to locate them.

One Arrow First Nation is asking anyone with information to share it directly with RCMP and is encouraging residents to share the safety notice with family and community members to help keep everyone informed.

RCMP have not released additional details about the investigation.
