UPDATE: Two suspects have been arrested and a third faces multiple charges following an ongoing investigation by the Pelican Narrows RCMP.
Tyrese Sewap and a wanted male youth have been located and taken into custody. Both are scheduled to appear in Pelican Narrows Provincial Court.
Additionally, police have charged a second male youth from Pelican Narrows in connection with the case. He faces 13 charges, including:

Two counts of aggravated assault

Two counts of discharging a firearm with intent

One count of robbery with a firearm

One count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

One count of flight from a peace officer

Several additional firearm-related offences, including careless use, pointing a firearm, and possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number
An arrest warrant has been issued for the second youth, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Pelican Narrows RCMP continue to search for the second youth as well as 18-year-old Mikka McCallum. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact Pelican Narrows RCMP at 310-RCMP or submit an anonymous tip through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

Pelican Narrows RCMP have arrested one man and issued arrest warrants for three others following an armed altercation and shooting that left two people with serious injuries on August 7.
According to police, officers received a report around 4:45 a.m. of a shooting at a residential property on Linklater Street in Pelican Narrows.
An initial investigation revealed that a group of armed males approached a man and a woman at the residence, demanding the keys to their vehicle. An altercation ensued, during which a firearm was discharged, hitting and injuring both victims. The suspects fled the scene without stealing the vehicle, and both victims were subsequently transported to the hospital by EMS with serious injuries.
Following the shooting, Pelican Narrows RCMP patrolled the area and spotted suspects travelling in a truck. When officers activated their emergency equipment to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Shortly after, officers located the truck abandoned on Dorion Crescent and arrested three males nearby, two of whom were later released without charges. A search of the abandoned vehicle led to the discovery and seizure of a loaded firearm.
As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old William McKay, 18-year-old Mikka McCallum, 25-year-old Tyrese Sewap, and an unnamed male teenager—all from Pelican Narrows—face a total of 13 criminal counts each. These charges include two counts each of aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent, alongside single counts of robbery with a firearm, flight from a peace officer, dangerous driving, pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm, and various firearm possession offences, including possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number.
William McKay made an appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on August 10, 2026, while official arrest warrants remain active for McCallum, Sewap, and the male youth, whose identity is protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Police describe Sewap as a 6’1″, 140-lb male with brown eyes and short brown hair (Pictured above), and they are working to obtain a recent description of McCallum.
