A 20-year-old Ontario man is dead and four others are injured following a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning south of La Loche.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. on August 15, 2026, La Loche RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 155, roughly 30 kilometers south of the community.

Emergency crews, including local fire services and EMS, dispatched to the scene. The driver, identified as a 20-year-old male from Brampton, Ontario, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. RCMP confirmed his family has been notified.

Four passengers traveling in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital by EMS for treatment.

La Loche RCMP are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision alongside a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist. No further details have been released at this time.
