On August 15, 2026 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of two missing individuals, 11-year-old Samantha Ross-Bird and 13-year-old Sofija Hila.
Samantha and Sofija were last seen around 12:00 a.m. on August 15 in the RM of Buckland, near Wahpeton First Nation.
Since they were reported missing, Prince Albert RCMP have been checking places Samantha and Sofija are known to visit and following up on information received.
They are now asking members of the public to report information on their whereabouts.
Samantha is described as:
- Height: 5 ft 3 in
- Weight: 130 lbs
- Eye colour: brown
- Hair colour and style: brown, shoulder-length
- Last seen wearing: black clothing
Sofija is described as:
- Height: 5 ft 3 in
- Weight: 130 lbs
- Eye colour: brown
- Hair colour and style: brown and blonde, shoulder-length with bangs
- Last seen wearing: black clothing
Investigators believe Samantha and Sofija may be together. They may have travelled to the Prince Albert area, but their current whereabouts are unknown.
