UPDATE:
RCMP say they arrested Brandon McCallum during another incident this past week.
Mounties say McCallum is facing multiple charges following a police pursuit and canine track on September 5, 2026.
Members of the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team (CRT) were patrolling the community when they spotted a vehicle driving erratically at high speeds. Officers activated emergency equipment to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over.
Investigating officers later located the suspect vehicle parked and unoccupied in Meadow Lake. RCMP Police Dog Services responded to assist and successfully tracked the suspect’s trail to a residence on 4th Street West, where an adult male was arrested without further incident.
Brandon McCallum, 24, of Meadow Lake, has been charged with Flight from peace officer, Dangerous operation of a conveyance, and Resist peace officer.
At the time of his arrest, McCallum was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant related to an assault reported on the Canoe Lake Cree First Nation on August 24(information below).
McCallum is scheduled to make his first court appearance at Meadow Lake Provincial Court on September 8, 2026.
Previous Information:
On August 24, 2026 around 12:20 a.m., Beauval RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence on Canoe Lake Cree First Nation.
Investigation determined a male forcibly entered a residence, threatened an occupant with a firearm, then assaulted them. The victim was treated at the local clinic for injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
As a result of continued investigation, 24-year-old Brandon McCallum from Meadow Lake has been charged with: break and enter, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of an offence, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, and weapons possession while prohibited(X3) (Information #90587995).
Beauval RCMP are working to locate and arrest Brandon McCallum. They ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact police.

Brandon McCallum is described as approximately 6’2” and 200 lbs.
He has black hair and brown eyes.
