A death investigation in Regina has officially been deemed a homicide, with a 19-year-old woman facing multiple charges after two people were found dead outside an Elphinstone Street residence early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Elphinstone Street around 4:30 a.m. on August 11 following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located two deceased individuals—a 42-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man—outside a home. At the request of their families, the names of the victims are not being released at this time.
The suspect fled the scene and attempted to hide in a nearby yard, according to police. She was taken into custody with the help of the Canine Unit. During the arrest, the suspect was bitten by a police service dog and was transported to the hospital for treatment before being released into custody.
Following an investigation by the Regina Police Service Major Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Unit, and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service, 19-year-old Patricia Stevenson has been charged with:

Possession of a Loaded/Prohibited Firearm
Stevenson is scheduled to make her first appearance on the charges in Regina Provincial Court on Wednesda, August 12.
