A 33-year-old woman from Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation has died following a collision involving a pedestrian near Duck Lake.

Rosthern RCMP responded around 3:45 a.m. on July 19 to Highway 212, approximately eight kilometres west of Duck Lake.

Police say the woman was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. Her family has been notified.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the collision.

RCMP say neither the driver nor a passenger in the vehicle reported any physical injuries.

Rosthern RCMP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision with assistance from a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
