Saskatchewan RCMP located and seized firearms and ammunition in Lloydminster, SK as part of an ongoing firearms investigation.
On July 15, 2026, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) executed a search warrant at a residence on 22nd Street in Lloydminster.
Officers located and seized four firearms with prohibited magazines and ammunition.
Officers determined four additional, restricted firearms, which were registered to be stored at the residence, were not there. The firearms had not been reported lost or stolen. Investigation determined one firearm was located by police in Alberta. Officers are actively working to locate the other three.
An adult male was arrested at the residence. As result of investigation, 61-year-old Brian Gogowich of Lloydminster is charged with:
- three counts, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device, Section 92(1), Criminal Code; and
- four counts, fail to report loss of restricted firearm, Section 105(1)(a), Criminal Code.
Lloydminster STRT continues to investigate.
